Strong Families: Strong Community

Ryde Family Support has provided an important service to the residents of Ryde and Hunter's Hill since 1982. This service is free and confidential. We are funded by the Department of Family and Community Services.

Our Mission Statement

In an environment of trust and respect, working with family strengths, Ryde Family Support Services aims to provide a service that offers support to families in need and in particular provides early intervention services. The Service works with families in the Ryde and Hunters Hill areas which have children and young people under eighteen years of age, living at home. The Service aims to enhance families’ capacity to support the growth and development of all family members – adults, young people and children.

What Do We Do?

At Ryde Family Support Services we can look at ways of helping you with problems that may be impacting on your child or family. No problem is too big or too small. A Family Worker will discuss your concerns with you and identify the best way to assist you. Our two programs of Child and family Support and Youth and family Support offer advice, advocacy and referral, assessment and case planning, case management, Home visiting (child and family Service only), counselling, practical skills development groups, parenting skills groups, parent support groups, skills focussed groups and or training for youth. We run a Grandparent Carers support Group for grandparents who have the primary care for their grandchildren.
